President’s Award

Each year this award is selected by the Chamber President and honors an individual or business for their extraordinary contributions to the Chamber and the Youth Enrichment Fund. This individual has been a familiar face of the Chamber and YEF for over 15 years and has served on the chamber and YEF boards as well as serving as the Santa Fe Springs President in 2009-2010. When I first met this individual, I thought this person is “all business with a matter-of-fact demeanor” but soon realized she is also a very caring and compassionate warrior for “Truth, Justice, & the American Way” (excuse the Superman reference). The moment I understood the strength of this person’s character was when they took a YEF scholarship recipient with a recurring health problem under the chamber wings to make sure this student knew we had her back. My decision was affirmed when I discovered this person had been recognized for her volunteerism in the past.

It is with great pleasure as the President of the Board of Directors for the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce, I present Wendy Meador-Kunert of Tangram Interiors as the recipient of this year’s President’s Award.
